The problem is that it will 'want' to *lift* the wheel, and not let it lie flat. That won't happen of course, metal will stress. There was/is a guy here in SoCal with a '62 Classic wagon that did this, and his arms cracked often, and bound on body roll, and rode badly. His arms were parallel though, not angled; the angling will make a big difference.
