Izzy, I'm just guessing here but for some reason I think it might be a misfire. If the car still has the original distributor in it, the bearings could be loose causing a misfire at certain RPM which would create vibration. Or the cap may have a carbon track in it that shorts out one plug. Check that all eight are firing properly. This will let it idle OK, but a bit luggy, but will act up when throttle settings are increased. If it strains to increase RPM rather than rev freely it's a misfire. Collapsed lifter? Causing misfire? If the car is inside open the hood. shut off all the garage lights, close the garage doors, blind the windows, start it up and watch under the hood for stray sparks around the plug wires, don't let it run long (CO poison) listen for cracking sound of spark jumping around crazy under hood. Open garage doors and windows to ventilate garage. I hope the flex plate hasn't dropped a balance weight. Could remove the inspection cover and check. Hope this helps along with Joe's ideas. I can't think of anything else right now...... Armand ----- Original Message ----- From: "I.
