To answer your questions....all TF 727/904 AMC flex plates are the
same....only the balance weight is different
to match the size of the engine.....there are two sets of bolt
holes....outer set for large converters
and inter set for small converters....I am using a HD 10 inch converter
which has 7/16 bolts vice
5/16 which is stock....so I have to drill out the inter set of holes for
the larger size bolts....
this is all true except for later Full Size Jeeps with 360's....Chrysler
changed the flex plate.
to use a different starter....same as a 4.0 I think.....
A friend put a TF727 behind his 343 with the adapter kit...he had his
engine internally balanced so
we used a 258 flex plate with no weight added....worked great.....
