hey jeff- how are you? so on this post do you mean that if I can find one of these fords, then I can replace the carb on my 79 pacer v8, or 74 ambo 360 v8 with a throtle body carb. is it hard to do, or very complicated? what does it connect to electrically, the existing motorcrap ingintion module? just wondering how is works and is controlled. I know my 83 alliance had the TBI but really not sure how it all works. regards, and thanks, ken. boston ------------------------------ Message: 5 Date: Thu, 22 Mar 2007 20:01:06 -0500 (GMT-05:00) From: Jeff Reeves <amcnut@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: [Amc-list] Ford EFI on AMC To: "amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx" <amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Cc: "farna@xxxxxxx" <farna@xxxxxxx> Message-ID: <11255212.1174611666493.JavaMail.root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 The Ford TBI from about 83-86 or thereabouts was found on the T-bird/Cougar, Mustang, Town Car, LTD/Marquis, and the LTD Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis. The Ford TBI throttle body will directly bolt to an AMC V8 2-barrel manifold, as it has the exact same footprint as the Motorcraft 2100 carb that is ubiquitous to AMC usage. No adapter needed!
