I rememebr one of these "rich" guys he sepculated on coal. He would by many, many tons then resell it for profit. Every two years he bought a new GW and gave his "old" one to his wife. Mind you this guy would litterally put 65,000 miles on a GW in two years! He had a standing appt for oil changes and tire rotations and the old Jeeps never had more then 75,000 miles on them when they were traded in at the 4 year point. His wife didn't drive much. The guys in the detail bay hated him as they had to clean the coal dust out at the 2 year point before his wife got the Jeep. -- Mark Price Morgantown, WV 1969 AMC Rambler, 4.0L, EFI, T-5 -------------- Original message ---------------------- From: "Mahoney, John" <jmahoney@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Oddball? > Way back then, the average income of GW and RE buyers was over $100,000. > > It may burst Brien's bubble to admit such fact, but GW buyers were rich. > > Not bad, just -successful-.
