Don't bother with all the swap work.
Get a ZJ axle with disc brakes and put it in.
IIRC the width is right. You'll need to swap some brackets around, but you'll end up with one piece axles. Not sure about the gear ratio choices though, might be th eonly real sticking point. In that case I believe the ZJ discs will still adapt.
