I picked up a 64 Classic (660) station wagon today. It was an abandoned hot rod project and the previous owner had already sold the V8 engine and transmission, so the car will now be parted out. I got it for the tail gate and windshield, so everything else is for sale. It's a central California car which appears to be rust free. No body damage that I have found so far. It was an adventure getting the car onto my trailer because the seller had merely sat the rear axle onto the coil springs without reattaching the shocks or truss rods? that previously held the axle to the torque tube. Can you say unstable? We had to jury rig the assembly to get the rear wheels to stabilize in the rear wheel wells. Luckily we had great weather. If it had been rainy, my neighbor who was helping me and I both agreed we would have just taken the parts we needed and left the car for the seller to junk. But it's home now and we only need to wrestle it off of the trailer and behind the privacy fence in my back yard.
