Well I finally got rid of the Hornet AMX carcass today. It should be crushed in a few hours. I'll probably hoist a cool one this evening in it's honor. It gave up a lot of good parts including a V8 crossmember, motor plates and AMC 20 small car rear. Some of the black interior is going into my 77 Gremlin X. I sold the 304 engine as a core to a local AMCer last week. Two yards near me have one AMC apiece: Peninsula Auto Wreckers still has the AMC Eagle wagon 5-speed with rally gauges. It does not have the fancy outside mirrors someone asked me about. It should have some other mechanical parts but the body is in poor shape due to dents and mishandling by the yard. it is through the lien sale process so parts will be available any day. A-1 Auto Wreckers has an 80 concord 2-door sedan with 61,000 miles. 4 cyl (Iron 49-state Iron Duke)/auto tranny. Has the tilt column and a very clean dark brown interior. The little 9-inch disk brakes (4-cyl cars had these) are in very good condition and might be a light weight alternative for a drag car. I will pull both front doors for a Hornet I hope to be building up later this year. If you need anything from these cars, I might have time to check on them in the next few days. The Concord has a pristine rear bumper and bumper ends.
