THAT happens all the time! Totally annoying!
But people are not always rational about cars.
The other thing about $100 vs. $300; aside from the insult
and foolishness of the seller: I try to think of it this way:
would I benefit from parting with $300 and have that car in
your yard? Even if it's "not worth" it, it may, in the end, be.
$300 isn't a lot of money these days, unfortunately.

And it's his dogs that will end up sleeping in it :-)
