The newer two row radiators have two wide rows, more like 3/4" or so, not three little 3/8" rows. Some of the two rows may be 1/2", but only if there is no room for wider. Aluminum radiators generally have larger passages. They work better with the increase in flow and capacity since aluminum will sink the heat a little faster than copper/brass. I know copper/brass will remove more heat, but the flow can't be as fast -- it takes a little more time to soak up the heat.
