Nope. The neck is too small to even seal the front pump. I want to put a 727
pump and converter into a 999 to beef it up (tore up too many and another
just bit the dust last night in my '82 Spirit. And I wasn't even driving it
hard!) The V8 and 6 cyl converter swap will give you what you want.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that you could use a stock
converter from a 904 on a stock 727 resulting in a higher stall
rate converter. Is this true and feasible? Any drawbacks?
