A real comparison would have to include pretty much identical configuration (manual steering, trans, six, bench seat, etc) But if 1950 is 2400 and change, and 1965 is 26xx, that's not much, considering it's a foot longer. 66 to 1970, now that's 400 lbs -- where did it all go?! Weights seem to balloon in the 1970's.
