Jim, I think that because the input is longer on this trans it would be fairly straght forward to make an adapter to bolt it on to the 196. Not sure it's worth the effort, good trans but how heavy is it and what all else will need adapted is beyond my knowledge. Just a thought!
   Or, Talk Andrew Hay out of his bellhousing! I think he had one!
