d stohler Frank makes the best point on passing on this purchase, I would not buy this engine as a builder. But!!!! As you are planning to change over from and older I-6 to a newer V8 this might be a good parts purchase for you. If this engine is a long block and has all of the accessories still on it such as power steering pump, alternator etc etc. These parts alone including the brackets and the unique specialty items such as the harmonic balancer and/or the flex plate and torque converter are worth all of the aprox $250.00 by them selves if you were to try to buy them separately. It is possible to purchase a good 360 engine but having it missing these important parts is very real. I have a running 304 that I am not going to use. It will be replaced with a 360, but the accessories will be used off of the 304 when it comes time to make the swap, this includes the manifolds, alternator and brackets, power steering pump and air conditioning pump and mounts along with the motor mounts and the torque converter. I also have the 360, but it has the harmonic balancer and flex plate thus between the two engines, I have no further need to purchase parts as I have them all. Anyway, food for thought.
