OK, finally found some jeep drivetrain photos (crawlin around under cars in a parking lot in Los Angeles is a good way to get arrested/run over.) Damn, didn't realize it's chained over. I was thinking of the engine in the rear, crank flange towards the front, for style reasons. Except for the oil pump and distributor (vacc. advance, lubrication), I can't think of a reason not to run the engine the other direction (requires new cam of course). Or I could push the engine really far back (behind the driver), pointing the usual direction, to a jeep front axle and xfer case with a long shaft under the driver's seat. With that, could almost make it look like #50... :-) _______________________________________________ AMC-List mailing list AMC-List@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list or go to http://www.amc-list.com
