A: Once in a blue moon, it's the ignition switch slider gone bad (you usually will get it to catch if you let off the switch just right) but mostly it's the CPS or the wires going to it are melted onto the exhaust manifold on the driver's side (I just zip tied mine back again as I smelled cooking plastic on the way to work this AM) There is actually a CPS harness and CPS kit available from Jeep (Last I checked in '02 when I drove to CO and back. I wanted a spare for the trip just in case) If that doesn't do it, start looking at connectors under the hood (undo them all and spray with contact cleaner/anti-corrosive) On Behalf Of javelin@xxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, September 17, 2006 8:40 AM To: amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [AMC-List] starting trouble in 88 cherokee...4.0L having starting trouble in cherokee...have fire going to coil but nothing coming out of coil...also no fire going to injectors !! are there any fuses for computer brain...any help greatly appreciated..thanx amc people you have been you have been a great resource over the years...javelin@xxxxxxxxxxxx Quoting amc-list-request@xxxxxxx: _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself - download free Windows Live Messenger themes! http://clk.atdmt.com/MSN/go/msnnkwme0020000001msn/direct/01/?href=http://imagine-msn.com/themes/vibe/default.aspx?locale=en-us&source=hmtagline _______________________________________________ AMC-List mailing list AMC-List@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list or go to http://www.amc-list.com
