When I apply the brakes hard enough, the rear wheel locks up, really a bit dangeous. There's no leakage of any brake fluid at any of the wheels. What caused this to happen? Should I reset the piston in both the engine compartment valve, underneath the heater motor, and the rear brake proportioning valve, or replace both, or what? It looked like it could be accomplished, but IIRC you would need to run a line inside the trans too. It's been a while since I looked into it, so my memory is a little fuzzy. I don't think you would accomplish much with this mod. The air colled trans does fine as long as it is maintained. The only real need for the extray coolign would beif you wanted to tow. I wonder if you needed to cool the borg trans if it would not be as easy to build a tran pan with fittings and use a circulating pump to move fluid thru a cooler? Just thinking out loud. The air colled trans does fine as long as it is maintained. Concur 100%. My m35 is in a Classic wagon, and I haul stuff, take long (1000 mi up) camping trips, and it's lasted 18 yrs on current rebuild. $100 tuneup every few years. If you can't find a leak and the light comes back on, chances are the master cylinder is bad (which could also be why the rear brakes lock up before the fronts).
