We attended for the 5th year, on 30 July, in the Rambler. Brought a shade structure and BBQ gear and the dogs and beer, nice white trash outing. Three Ramblers total: mine, David's immacualte 65 American convert, and a 59 Rambler [American] wagon, spotless, nearly original, shiny red, with a chevy v6 driveline. (The owner had a lot of grief with the 196 flathead; he had it rebuilt but kept running into relaibility issues (it's a daily driver also in LA freeways) and the v6 fit with no chassis mods, firewall cutting etc. A nice clean transplant in that tight engine compartment. Today I talked to the organizer, and she said that AMCs are welcome to that event, even though the "official" vehickle age cutoff year is 1967. She want it to be a fun event, and is personally partial to AMCs because of their orphan status. PLAN ON ATTENDING NEXT YEAR!! www.blessingofthecars.com It's a great Los Angeles area car culture event -- thousands of cars, and 10,000 people, a huge swath of SoCal car culture. _______________________________________________ AMC-List mailing list AMC-List@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.amc-list.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list or go to http://www.amc-list.com
