My '66 GTO did this one summer on Long Beach Island 
NJ.  I was booked into Joe Pop's Shore Bar with my 8 piece
- played bass behind the Shirelles - the Coasters - opened
for Chubby Checker - 5 Satins - great Summer top down
- all except for the Carb floats which started shutting down fuel.

A few rapps on the carb worked for awhile - drained the
float bowls of any water & crud which got a few days more.

Rather than a rebuild I had K&G Speed Associates in Pa.
ship me a new Holley 4bbl.

Check your fuel filters - tank crud - or water in tank from
bad fuel.
