frank has it pretty much right. i can't recall the mitchell
interchange listing separate big nut and non-big-nut housings for the
'64-9 american, which makes me think there was only one listing, but
i'm not positive. anyway, if you found a '67-9 housing chances are
it'd already be stuffed with running gear.
the hornet et al rear is 57" wide vs. the '64-9 american 55.5", not
too wide to fit but it'll shift some things. you'd have a challenge
getting 6" rims off the wider rear without a lot of jacking.
