The cooling fan was another thing. The installation kit did not have the sensor in it to operate the fan automatically so for now it is wired up to run when the ignition is on till I can get the part. The billet over flow can turned ot to be more work than I thought to polish it out myself but I am working on it. 20$ saved over buying a polished one is still 20$. Besides the pain in the a$$ I am I would probably have to re-polish the polished one to my satisfaction. The front bumper still needs to come off to mount the last screw in the fan and tranny cooler mounting brackets. The aluminum tranny pan goes on next week and then the infamous grill goes back in too. Happy fathers day to all of you fathers. Later I will be sitting in front of the boob tube watching the NASCAR and race hand polishing my over flow tank. I also wrote back Mike this: "Won't happen. You will however see bits and pieces. From the current Chrysler 300 grill identical to the 72 Ambassador grill, to the possible intro of the new Hornet series. But bringing back American Motors won't happen. You can also go to the government tradmark site and research it, DCX let the trademark slip years ago and someone in California bought the rights to the name, not that they will do anything with it except sit on it, sort of like internet squatters I guess. I would like to see some names revived like Ambassador and Javelin but again, don't think it will happen, now or 2010. DCX does need some low end cheepie if you will, brand to compete with a variet fo under $14K cars on the market. And they can do it. However reviving a automaker that constantly had surnames like 'struggling' or 'in financial trouble' plastered in front of it in the 70s thru it's demise won't happen as people will still have a negative memory of it. Not us, we are AMCers! But the buying public will remember and I guarantee you and will be more than willing to bet you some beers: that the first thing out of the press, whether automotive or otherwise, mouths would be "the failed automaker that used to make Gremlin and Pacer". Not the image DCX wants, nor needs in 2006, nor 2010. They did make a Hornet, and Matador and Edsel had a Pacer all in the late 50s/early 60s, so who knows, maybe they start with Hornet, then Rebel or Matador, but my money will beon the Hornet name being revived, but NOT anything AMC name due to the stigma unfortuately still associated with it." What kind of problems are you having? Could be the cable. You can sometimes pull the head apart and clean it good with someting like WD-40. The old grease gets stiff with age. Don't try to put more grease on, unless it's something like that light spray lithium in an aerosol can. But clean it with WD-40 or mineral spirits first. On June 18, 2006 Gary L. AMC was know for value oriented economy cars in its hey-day (late 50s/early 60s, and even into the 70s). By 2010 it might be a good name, if the car is American made. But it won't be anything like a "real" AMC. With the palnned market, it would be more like the Alliance.
