Many thanks to Frank, Aaron, Mark I and Mark II for the responses on my stock distributor question. I now have a lot more options. If this is how the message board always works then I'd say it's pretty mind blowing. M@rk [markmel77@xxxxxxxxx] please have your buddy with the 73 Javelin AMX PC interior get in touch with me if he hasn't gotten his car in the 71-74 Javelin AMX Registry. I'm still looking for new owners to add to the registry. Let's get em all signed up soon. If anyone has a 71 Javelin AMX that is undergoing a restoration please feel free to contact me. I am almost done getting the mechanical issues put to bed on a car that's been garaged since 1986. I brought this car home Memorial Day weekend in 2004. Two years later I finally got the engine running. With 3 kids I'm slow and very broke. Electric Blue 360 4bbl 4-speed with a/c, PS, PB, 3:54 gears, heated rear glass, Edelbrock R4B and finned valve covers, Edelbrock 650 carb and Machine wheels. We broke in the engine last night and hope to have the brakes functional by the weekend. We'll see how long the Eastwood paint holds up on the factory exhaust manifold. I completely removed the harness and cleaned every wire/connector, added new brake booster and MC, new brake lines, new clutch, new pistons, re-built HB, re-built early 71 cylinder heads (3196291) had all reciprocating parts re-balanced, had a machine shop bore/hone block .30 over, re-work crank, new bearings and seals, new camshaft, new oil pan, NOS belts and hoses, NOS Carter fuel pump, send the receiver dryer out for re-build, re-cored the radiator, tested the condenser and a/c compressor for leaks, gas tank boiled out and the list goes on and on.
