Yesterday I wallowed up to WallyWorld wondering if I was wasting away, my head woozy from all the BBQ pecan smoke. I had to get some duct tape, wary of the Wal Mart brand. I jumped into my wagonette, otherwise known as a 72 Ambassador SST wagon. The powerful 360 warbled to life, the smell of Citgo gas wafting thru the air. It wasn't a washout, like today, with rain water, some areas had over 10+ inches of rain in Houston. Welcome to Houston, it is 85 degrees and sunny outside now however. My wealth was extended to $25 or whatever I had in pocket. Where upon I arrived with my whiteness (ok, that one is a real stretch) at Wal Mart, my Ambassador with factory wire spinners, without my shopping list which included daipers, Wiggles DVD, and of course the tape. I was welcomed by the greeter, then proceeded directly to the toy section, al ways on the prowl for whereabouts of Johnny Lightnings and Fresh Cherries diecast miniatures whereever they may be. Whereupon I come across several AMC Pacers and Gremlins in the Fresh Cherries series, marked down from $1.97 to only $1.00 each! I was wired at this wiseacre would up deal I had to decide whether to purchace the Wiggles DVD, but wherefore knowing if I passed up this weighty bargain, would have to explain my whereabouts to Noah & Jacob on passing up a Wiggles DVD. Whatever. The would possibly be wearing same daipers till Wednesday whereas Sams' (clone of Wal Mart) would get more of my cash or check, whichever. With 16 Gremlins & Pacers in hand, I headed to the checkout without Wiggles. Whether I would have enough money with tape was another story. No daipers whatsoever in sight. My wobbled right leg wrapped in McDavid large wrap, I had just enough money to withstand the wiredrawn total without writing a check. Foe whatever reason, I do not know why the Fresh Cherries, which seem to be new (the Pintos and Maverics and child's portion Mustangs long off shelves here) why Wal Mart discounted them, some Hot Wheels setups, and a few other toys in that aisle, but I bought all of the FC Gremmies and Pacers, in a wide variety of colors. Back to whence I came to Wycliffe road, where Noah & Jacob welcomed me home with open arms, even without Wiggles DVD........ Above is sponsored by the letter "W" you wascally wabbit. I think I need to watch more than kids tapes however before I go nuts. I find myself whistling while I work. To more than Sesame Street tunes. Ugh.
