I didn't say earlier, but this local shop I used (Dave & Sams), I walked
around in their lot looking at their work before we had the first car
done. Incoming wrecks to cars in final detail, and in between. Pretty
good work over all; some were getting work finer than I got, likely
insurance work. I negotiated downwards from the original estimate. An
"old fashioned" shop.

These guys were pretty good about overspray; none in the engine, where
there was some was in areas most people don't care about; rear leaf
springs, from front rails, a bit on the tie rods.

THey were old-fashioned slow too; MAACO and the like are probably a lot
better at time management!
