The tube itself can be replaced with a similar size steel or copper line. IIRC a compression fitting would fit the carb. In your case a bit of epoxy would work if you can't find another carb top. Epoxy the line directly to it or cut a brass fitting end of and epoxy that on so you can still unscrew the choke tube. Clean the area to be epoxied thoroughly with paint thinner or mineral spirits first, and let the epoxy set for 24 hours. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Independent Magazine" (AIM) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AIM.html (free download available!) --original message ----------------------------- From: Sly Rose <sly@xxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [AMC-List] Choke thermostat heater tube Hi All, I was replacing my carb the other day and I broke the carb where the heater tube attaches for the choke. The threaded mounting stud of the carb broke off inside the heater tube threads. What can I do to get a heater tube mounted to my new carb? Where does one find the right choke heater tube? Thanks!
