I re-built my 1967 Holley 1931 (1 bbl) and lost ONE STINKIN
PEICE!!!! There's a little brass rod in the fuel inlet that touches the
float lever and the brass valve needle that I lost.
Does anyone have an old Holley 1931 that I could buy to get this part?

Anyone interested, there is another scammer AMX on ebay,
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4637149831
if you hurry, maybe you can bid too. But like a drunken sailor on shore
leave in Croatia, I bid it up to $99 million. That is right, all my Enron
AMC money as this car is worth it. Also notified ebay they have scam auction
going on but it is still up 6+ hours later, go look. But the most fun was
clicking on the 'ask seller a question' button and sending him a nice
message, of which is here but uh, some of the words have been deleted
(unlike Bart's group where it was unedited, yow!). So the scammer will get
home from a hard day's work at scamworld, and realize his scam auction has
been torpedoed, aww, poor puddy tat fall down.
=========================================
congratulations A**HOLE SCAMMERS! If you go to planethoustonamx.com and
click on front page EBAY SCAMMERS....YOUR F***ING B******T AUCTION is front
and center! Now everyone will know about it being b******t scam until ebay
shuts it down! At least you will have f***ing 15 minutes of b******t fame
until they shut it down! Yea for you a**hole scammer 9070kimberly!

I didn't use the Barry Bond's * asterisks in the message to scammer though.
Ya'll feel free to bid, there is a whole mess of us AMCers who as soon as
one of these pops up, we hammer it right and left.

It's been a while since I took one of these apart but isn't that the end of
the needle valve (you should have gotten a new one in the rebuild kit)? In
any event, I have a junk one of these I took a few parts off of and the
float is still attached to the cover so I should have what you need. Send
me your mailing address off-list.

When we last left poor Joe and his 64 Classic with the
noisy engine, several listers had given him good
suggestions of what to do next.
Tonight I had time to pull the valve cover and observe
that all of the push rods were in place and the valve
train looked normal. I turned the engine over with my
remote starter switch first and did not hear the noise
in the bottom of the engine, so I turned on the
ignition and started it.
There appears to be no oil getting to the valve train
and of course the valve clattering did not subside.
The oil pressure idiot light did go out when the
engine started. I then drained the oil and plan to
pull the oil pan next to inspect the oil pickup and
oil pump.
I hope to get a resolution on this problem on
Saturday.
Regards,
Joe Fulton

The "AMC Family Album" isn't as rare as you'd think Michael. It was rather popular, popular enough that AMC updated it in 1975 (has 76 models too!) and printed it as "The American Motors Family Album" (I have a copy of it). The intro mentions the "Rambler Family Album" and a "Nash Family Album" (just as the 69 does), but not another AMC one. It does mention that it's printed periodically though. I don't know of one between 69 and 75, and none after. I've only seen a copy of the "Nash Family Album". Copies occasionally pop up on e-bay, but they are rather prized by owners of AMC cars who have one, and don't show up often.

-------> Well, I WISH I could claim credit for The Old Car Manual Project, but
this most awesome of documentation sites is actually run by an individual with
the handle of Doc Rusty. So far, I haven't seen my copy of the '69 Family Album show up there, but Rusty just sent an e-mail assuring me that it would
be on the front page of The Old Car Manual Project at:
http://www.tocmp.com
whenever it does come online. All 148 pages of Amazingly Munchable Candy have
been scanned at 300 dpi and shipped. These have been compressed to about 1.5
megabytes each. It should be understood that the person who donated this book to
the Museum Archives paid around 90 bucks for it, and in its particular
condition, this was a steal. But anyone who does much scanning knows that this
priceless treasure was destroyed in the process of sharing an extremely rare
piece of documentation with the larger AMC community. There were probably less
than 1500 copies printed of this book. At least have a look at it. The
