I need to know of a mild wheel cleaning solution to do my painted detail's wheels. The front ones did not come quite clean because of the disc brake dust. I painted these wheel with Sherman Williams acrylic enamel and clear coated them with Eastwoods Diamond Satin Clear. I don't want to take the chance of using to harsh a cleaner to ruin all my hours of hard work, but I want them clean. The rears are fine. I spent 225$ having the original paint polished out 2 1/2 months ago and with just a plain wash the car looks like it did then. Now I just need to finish the grill resto and re-paint the double line black factory pin stripe on both sides of the car. I doubt if I will have the 77 AMX flairs painted and on the car for the June 4th Ardsley show. I am now also actively looking for a place to chrome my bumpers. I need to know of a mild wheel cleaning solution to do my painted detail's wheels. The front ones did not come quite clean because of the disc brake dust. Snip I think that you would find that a product called Spray Nine will get the job done for you. http://www.spraynine.com/ It may be a bit hard to find as it is a Canadian product and I am not sure of its distribution in the states. It is available here at an ACE Hardware store in Peoria AZ. The stuff works like magic. It has yet to damage any surface that I have used it on and what it removes you would not believe. It takes hard to remove brake dust off my aluminum and painted wheels with no problem. It even removed the rubber tire marks caused by running over a thrown truck tire recap and that can leave serious gook on the car. It just wiped off with a bit of Spray Nine and a paper towel. In Canada it is commonly available at Canadian Tire but then again from what I can tell so is almost everything. As a result I have put on eBay, a complete, turnkey project car package, my recently painted (pearl white) 1966 440 wagon with a 232-6 and a complete 1978 Concord 304 V8 hatchback. The item number on eBay is 4631949099. The reserve is reasonable (what I paid for just the 1966 wagon alone and far less than what I just paid for the 1969 V8) and I'm just a bit surprised at how many hits but how few bids the combination has generated. If anyone is interested (I prefer to sell to someone on the list) please drop me a line at autotronic@xxxxxxxx I would be happy to discuss in detail what I have to offer. The bracket definitely comes off, but I suspect one of two things. Either it's been tack welded on somewhere that's hard to see, or it's just that corroded on there. Advice: Hit it harder with a bigger hammer.
