To change your settings on the "new" list, go to http://www.wps.com/mailman/listinfo/amc-list and log in. If you don't know your password, scroll to the bottom of the page, type in your e-mail address, then hit the "unsubscribe or edit options" button. You will be sent to a screen that has the option of sending you your password in e-mail. I know it's been a bumpy day, but everything should work out! There should be no more unexplained, long drop outs as there has been in the past. Tom Jennings runs the server, and he'll notice right away when he's not getting any mail should something happen. Since he's got a vested interest in the list I'm sure he'll be more concerned than some big company was! The Mailman software is much better on me (and Tom) as far as administration goes too. The software handles new member verification, so I don't have to do everything manually. That prevents the several day delay to get on that there has been recently. It also does a better job of deleting addresses that are no longer valid. We have over 800 users (not far from 900 at the moment) subscribed, though most just lurk and some have two addresses subscribed. That's still a good showing! With the better software and more flexible admin tools, maybe more people will speak up! There may be some adjusting for the website (www.amxfiles.com) to work correctly, but that will get sorted out soon if necessary.
