I saw a picture a while ago of a NYC gangsters
funeral. One of the flower cars was an Ambo limo, you
know the kind with the back end modified pick-up
style. It was a 65 or 66.....Russ
----------> I know an old orphan car guy here in town who owns a 39 Ambassador flower car. Really neat, but useless for a pickup because of the way they're made. I had been thinking about hot-rodding it, then read an article in Collectible Automobile last year, where I found out they're exremely rare. Hudsons used to be popular for this. They were(are) hand-made by coach companies that specialize in "service cars", or stuff like limos, ambulances, flower cars etc. You can't just buy a super stretched, giant quarter panel. I love these flower trucks.
