343 motor balancing - external, automatic flexplate too? Just manual?

  Guy bought a '69 343 motor, is putting it in a Jeep.
Wants to know if he'll have a problem with an auto
trans flexplate interchange, for balancing. I thought
they were mostly harmonic balancer issues, but then
again, maybe the 4-speed flywheel has some balance to
contribute. Just wanted to be sure to pass that info
on to him correctly. So, how do you balance a '69 AMX
343 motor? Thanks,
