Cheap !@#$% Parts and a Pleasant Surprise Yesterday

Had to pay 25$ to make a bushing for the manual choke in my orange car,
it is only 1 1/2 years old with in that time it sat for 11 months in my
friends shop for the interior to be done. The one I put in my yellow
Hornet 30 years ago works just fine. Nothing like the cheap modern crap
they now sell. The choke kit cost 12$. On a good note the A/C did not
work on the orange car when I bought it. My friend charged it up after
putting a sealer dye in the system and this spring will be 2 years he
did it. I haven't used it since he charged it up almost 2 years ago and
I tried it yesterday and it worked. It's going to be a nice cruiser when
I get the last few bugs out of the car. My friend wouldn't take any
money for working on the A/C so I gave him a nice "A" scheme SC/Rambler
model I had. You got to take care of your friends. Also so much for the
subtle look of the orange car. A truck driver at the local supermarket
chased me on foot all the way across the parking lot yesterday just to
look at the car. He said he hadn't seen on in my years. Imagine the
attention it will get when I add the 77 rear window louver and flairs.
