Ken, the pistons are 60 over, with variation, but the expansion on forged
pistons dictates much more clearance than cast. Reverse calculation looks
like 4.078 bore, which for a race engine might be close to needed for forged
pistons of the time. Certainly newer pistons are tighter clearances due to
improvements, but a little googling found a few sites that indicated the
higher clearances were possible.
That's not to say the article isn't possibly stretched a little by rough
calculations! Still, 414, 418, lotta cubes.

So if its a .060 over 327 with 4" stroke - 4.06 x 4.0 - I get 414 cuin. :)
