A stock 4.0L cam is pretty good. I'm using a Crane "Econo Power" cam for a 258 in my 4.6L. It's pretty good -- nice low end torque and great mid range. Runs out of breath at 5000-5500 rpm, but pulls good from 800-4500 rpm. Nice flat torque curve, peaks around 2000 rpm, which is a really good cruising speed.
