Timing problems... input appreciated

Thanks for the great input.  

I will look at the dist advance as I had not thought
of it being stuck advanced.  As far as the
compression, that was the first thing I checked.  It
was pretty close to 120 across the board.  

Before I start taking too much more apart other than
the distributor I am going to swap in the 360.  It is
too much trouble to do the timing chain compared to
the engine.  

You guys always come up with something I hadn't
thought of!
