I don't have to tell you that the AMX can all but be recreated using
a Spirit body.
I'd love to see a 68-69 AMX nose grafted onto a Spirit --
via
fiberglass fenders would be easy enough. Why 68-69? Grilles are
available.
Maybe a 70 with a fiberglass replica grille would be the way to go
though
-- those grilles are pretty hard to find.
Not much can be easily done
with
the rear, but maybe some window inserts to change the look a bit
would
be
nice.
++I'd seen that '68 AMX 'Blisterd' hood grafted up for the
Spirit / Gremlin / Hornet > someone here purchased it &
posted Photos > .
Opinion is that without yanking the front frame clip forward
to add the length to the nose, it won't look 'balanced'.
I haven't gotten to Photoshop prowess as yet - perhaps someone
with the requisite skills & time could knock out some mix 'n match
between the Spirit Kammback & the AMX nose.
A '74 Matador nose scaled down to the Spirit Kammback would
be very interesting ! "...... Tubular........."
Also, I'd like to see a Spirit Kammback with the later '72 AMX
cowl induction nose Kpl. for the sake of comparison.
*Other* would be an 'Aero' style nose ala Dodge Daytona or
Chrysler Conquest > flip up headlights and all.
The problem with the Spirit Kammback / Gremlins were
that they were Aerodynamically 'Dirty' - so anything
to aid it's piercing the wall of air is the right direction
to persue.
The AMX-Turbo ppg appears to have a number of salvage yard
available parts in its' design -
I've really got to get the Photoshop functioning this Spring !
Brien.
