" Just went out and crawled under the car for a look. I'm going to e-mail a photo to frank. Description of the bell housing:
"
" A narrow pattern of 4 drills where the t-14 was mounted. 6-1/4 inches wide X 5-3/8 inches high (approximate)
yup, that's the t-14/t-96 pattern, iirc ever since '63 or so when they
went to rear mount on the tranny instead of bellhousing. earlier were
~4.25" vertically.
" A wide pattern of 4 drills plus one extra. 8-1/2 wide by 6-1/2 high. Additional drill is located on same vertical center as lower corner on passenger side, above it 1-1/2 inches.
this is the large t150 [ford] rectangle, plus maybe t-18/t-19 jeep 4sp.
the sr4/t4/t5 pattern is asymmetrical and between these in size.
next q: when you get to pull your t-14, what's the size of the bearing
retainer, and what's the size of the retainer hole on the bell? my
guesses - 4.25" and 4.85".
