Kaplan Trans Am Javelin drivetrain 'found'?

I just received the attached statement. Anyone got an idea who can 
best answer his questions...and who might be most interested in 
what he has?


"I have the engine, bell housing, flywheel, tranny, and shifter of 
one of the transam javelins. I don't have the car anymore just the 
parts that I have mentioned. I  have done some research and was 
told by Penski racing that the car I had was built by Kaplan racing 
team, the team that raced transam amc's before Penski took over and 
that the car was probably used as a test bed. Do you have any 
history on Kaplan racing? and can you corroborate Penskis story?"
