if that's true, there's a good chance the tranny is a tf, closely
related to the one in the eagles. they used the aw4 behind fours but
only '87-'93; both before and after, it was a tf909 or electronic
equivalent. if you wanted an auto, this would make the drivetrain a
dropkick.

i still think this is more work than finding the correct cj [or s10]
bellhousing to hook the 2.5 to the eagle t5. if you're not in a
