I'm assuming you mean remove 1/2" between the flat area that the mount bolts to and the flange that bolts to the block. If you get a chance how about measuring again and posting? Repro plates can be purchased from www.ramblerparts.com (have to call for price without crossmember and mounts). I think someone mentioned a price of around $50 for just the plates??? I'm not sure, so call first! I personally might weld them if I knew the measurement for sure. I have the tools and skills to do so though. Others aren't as lucky, and the elds on engine plates better be good!
