Just a comment on the AMX braking. That aspect of the AMX has been mentioned in most of the old driver test articles published when the AMX first appeared. My AMX is still a project car and I don't know what I will do to cure it, but I assume I will have that bridge to cross. With adjustable brake proportioning valves on the market now, I don't think it would be too hard to cure that problem even if I keep the factory disk brakes. Yes I was also disappointed that the reviewers seemed to be "big 3" guys and they disparaged the Javelin in saying that it won the Trans-AM series only after the Big 3 pulled out of the series in 71 and 72. But the fact remains that the 1970 technology which had led Ford to a win in 1970 was still available and the AMC team bettered the Fords in 1971 and 72. --- Armand Eshleman <aje1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > I am beginning to strongly dislike those two > characters that do the muscle > evaluations on Speed. > Those bozos always pick an AMC car that appears to > be a hot setup, but they > always manage to > somehow downgrade the performance of it.
