1980-1989 full size Jeeps (senior Jeep) use a non free flow LEFT side 
exhaust manifold.  The change was required by the switch to the left side 
front output of the transfer case.

I think Frank meant to say the RIGHT side interferes with the strut rod 
bracket on the small cars.
