Not quite Jim! They are made to replace the manifolds as used in full size Jeeps. They WILL NOT fit Hornet/Gremlin etc. without major work on the left side -- they want just a little more room than the factory free-flow manifold does, and that takes a bit of grinding on the manifold and strut rod mount to fit the small cars. You SHOULD have enough room in the American, but you may have to do some grinding on the header flange and/or strut rod bracket.
