I saw your webpage and was wondering if you could help me out. I owned a
1971 Javelin/AMX,401-4spd., silver with black stripes and black
interior. It also came with the sidewinder pipes and oddly enough a
DC/AC converter under the hood. I bought the car new off the showroom
floor in 1971.

Are there any records to reflect how many Javelin/AMX cars were built in
1971 with these options. From what I understand there were a total of
2,054 71 Javelin/AMX's built. Also curious if there was a further
breakdown of 401/4spd's and colors. Any ideas if the DC/AC converter was
done by AMC or the dealor?
