AR Constable Gremlins

So, according to everyone that directed me to this
fellow, I just missed a virtual giveaway of a 77 AMX
that was about perfect.  No tears in interior and
totally rust free ext.  The guy had been trying to
sell it for years and ended up trading it for a Caddy
engine the week before I got there.  

He took me out back and showed me another car... a 72
Gremmie Constable (served Warrants for SHerrifs and
other activities).  It is super faded and rough... int
gone along with engn & drivetrain.  

It was supposedly with 401 4 spd and legendarily the
fastest car around, though noone wanted to take it
much over 100 mph as it supposedly became a little
hard to handle.  WIth 4 whl drm brakes, I can
understand it would be dificult to pull down!  

Does anyone have any info on these AR Constable Cars? 
I know we had something similar in Houston, but they
were more for Meter Maids and pretty lame.
