If the number 9745829 is on the wheel, then I believe
this is the engineering number and not the part
number. Some manufactures have a cross between
engineering and part numbers but I have never been
able to find one for AMC. Just as a note, most parts
have a cast in number that looks very similar to the
part number but it isn't. Part numbers are only found
on the packaging not the part itself. If you have the
packaging then I have have been unable to find this
number through 1967-1984 that is why I suspect it is
the engineering number. Do not feel alone every
manufacturer uses engineering numbers on the part.
The part number is on the packaging. Most
manufactures have a cross reference for engineering
number to part number but I have been searching over
20 years for one from AMC and have never even heard of
one.
