Exactly! Electronic injection controlled by a computer is both cheaper and more efficient than mechanical injection. The electronics in a diesel are similar to those in any EFI car. Programming, sensors, injectors, and fuel pump are just modified for diesel fuel. The hydrogen kits mentioned on here a week ago do the same thing. I sent the company an e-mail asking about carbureted engines. The main reason I putthat forward is that it would be more practical to convert my riding mower than my car. If I have to wait a couple days to fill a hydrogen tank using solar power to finish the lawn it's not so bad. Only doing half my weekly driving on hydrogen makes it a bit of a nusiance still have to get gasoline, and have to carry five or so gallons around "just in case" no matter what. I could run a quart or half gallon tank on the riding mower to get it started, then do most of my mowing on hydrogen.
