i wonder if the po also took the jav driveshaft?  that tranny is a
t14, which is shorter than the t96, but the driveshaft should make it
a straight swap.

when i put a late t14 [fine tf spline, '74?-'76] into my '68 i just
readjusted the 1/2 shift rod.  floor shift tranny too.
