What you may not know is that the warranty on the battery in
a toyota Hybrid has a 8 year 100,000 Mile warranty, in most
instances the original owner will have sold or traded in the
car before the battery warranty runs out on it. Honda has a
sinalr warranty on their Hybrid Battery. I sell both the
Honda and Toyota Hybrids including the Insight, Civic
Hybrid, Accord Hybrid, Prius, and Highlander Hybrid. I am
very familiar with these cars and regularly drive them.
 
The downfall of these cars is the time it will take you to
recoup your investment over a non Hybrid in a small high
mileage car. Depending on driving habits and mileage it
could take 10+ years before you recoup the $5000.00 of
additional investment from fuel economy savings.
