Re: {FORGED?} Interior Carpet Work Still Plugging Along

Who's brand of Carpet should I avoid.
I am about to purchase some Carpet for my 73 AMX
and from the sounds of it I shouldn't purchase from the same place you did.

> Man I am glad this is the last interior job I will "EVER" do. I went to
replace the kick panels with ones out of a Gremlin a friend gave me and
there were no holes for the package tray screws. I thoght all Hornets and
Gremlins had package trays either plain or with A/C vents. Luckily I had a
broken original drivers side one and made a template to drill the holes in
the Gremlin replacments. Now I go to install them and find the pass side
only has one hole drilled in the steel door pillar. Nothing like good old
AMC quality. I can see the big difference in quality between my 2 74
Hornets, one built in Canada and one built in the USA. The Canadian car was
built much better I hate to say as a loyal American. I got 3 hours or so of
fitting and trimming the front carpet to fit and it looks like I will need
another 2-3 more hours to make it fit properly. What a royal PIA. I also
installed the base rear seat cushion, it is actually starting to look like a
car again inside.
