Date sent: " From: <badass73gremlin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> " " " " but i've opened my eyes a lil bit more. The day comes i cannot find " or buy anything for an AMC powerplant my Gremlin is getting a 392 or 426 Hemi. " Bart M. bart, you know how much a hemi weighs?!? 850 lbs!!! okay, that's with iron heads, which nobody in their right mind would use. but the new 6.1 hemi [425hp/425ft-lbs] looks pretty nice... i agree with everyone else though - non-amc power only as a last resort, and even then the less jellybean the better. ______________________________________________________________________ __ Andrew Hay the genius nature internet rambler is to see what all have seen adh@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and think what none thought ============================================= I agree, that should the car be a stocker, a stock power plant is to be located and installed. I agree, that should the car be Hi - Performance, that it is a Thrill to see a Max'd Up version of the AMC power plant under the Bonnett, but I like hearing the thing much more than gazing at AeroQuip Snakes. I agree, that tossing a Chevy into a Ford turns my Stomach. I agree, that a Studebaker Streamliner with a Cadillac is 'Suite1'. I agree, that you should make every effort to keep your AMC powered by an AMC engine, as they have Pedigree with Factory Performance and a Racing History. I will say, being a Street Freak Fan, if something comes along that is out of the Ordinary and by installing, you'll be light years ahead on a 'Freak' and the Car being Built moves you enough to go after the Combos', than the Majority of 'Others' will see the Merit and Appreciate the Efforts. I mean,.......... I know one Moderator with a British Rear End! That said, I'll climb into my NOMEX long-johns , hunker down in this concrete Bunker and gaze fondly at my 6spd.
